Moving Forward Into The House

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him--you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1.Peter 2:4-5) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God is building His house in the nations today – and we are what He builds His house with. Jesus is the precious capstone that was rejected, that is holding the house together, without which there would not be a house. Oh what glory to also be a stone! What glory to be like Him! What glory to be changed from glory to glory every day to be more like Him! How awesome! Somewhere in this big house is a little pebble, who just loves to get to look up to that precious stone up there, in its brilliance, knowing it's becoming as beautiful as Him, and one day they will be together up there.
Oh believe me, this little pebble can't do anything. The Master builder has shown it His glorious plans of what He would build with the pebble – as much as it could grasp – and in faith the little pebble believed. So, every day little pebble watches Master builder as He is getting ready to build the house. And like a little girl little pebble is just filled with joy as she watches Him move. She feels so small, so incapable, not knowing how He would do what He has announced. But then the little one knows the Master builder, and knows what HE can do, and so every day she just holds on to her Master builder and trusts Him to continue the work, listening to any loving instruction He would give. Unless the Master builder builds the house, the little pebbles labor in vain (free rendering of Psalm 127:1).
So it is "with fear (of the Lord) and trembling" and great anticipation as I move forward at the hand of my Father, simply following Him, doing what He does, saying what He says, going where He goes. I've watched in amazement at how EVERY DAY since my return to Mali a month ago He is at work, putting piece after piece together.
THE MOVE
This weekend I'm moving into "The House". There's no room to tell you how the Lord has been working out every detail – He is truly building His house, and I sure can't take any credit for anything!
THE CHURCH
The House God has provided has a large room when you enter it, where all meetings will be held. Besides my bedroom there are two more rooms – one a guestroom, so come visit! But all the services, and film showings, will be in the garden – to proclaim the glory of the Lord to the heavens and attract those the Holy Spirit has targeted.
"What are you up to?"
* English class – once I've moved, I'll start teaching English again (mixed class with Christians and Muslims)
* Ecole Biblique de Foi (Faith Bible College) – I've been translating the materials into French, and will have 2-3 students in my class who will upon completion of all courses receive a certificate from the US.
* Film showings (garden) – "Matthew", "The Passion of the Christ", "Transformations", etc. People have already expressed interest in coming.
* Services (garden) – praising the Lord, preaching the gospel, praying for the sick….
Our first service with Simeon's baptism (it's exactly his first birthday) will be November 28.
* Bible studies, prayer meetings and whatever else the Lord has in mind.
"Who is we?"
* Simeon, 31 – nominal catholic upbringing, was my neighbor last year and dedicated his life to the Lord a year ago. Radical for God, he is an evangelist, going into the streets of Bamako daily. He's full-time with me, and growing rapidly. Land of origin: Benin
* Emmanuel, 21 – grown up in Christian family, called to be a pastor. Loves teaching the Word, worshipping the Lord. He is a university student, and has been inviting students to come. Land of origin: Mali
* Aisha, 8 – visits me a lot, has been coming to some prayer meetings, waving flags in worship. Land of origin: Ivory Coast
Four people, from four different nations, united in love for one purpose – to see God's kingdom come in Mali by being a reflection of Jesus. (And there is more people I could list who are not yet part of the core group.)
"What are your needs?"
Yes, I have been asked this question twice recently. Rent for The House is 340EUR (currently 440USD) per month, not including utilities. Since my monthly support is not even half that, I followed my Father in faith that He will provide everything needed to build His house. So I pray, Daddy, that if You've called any of my friends reading this to partner with You in this great plan for Mali by giving of their resources, then speak to them and let them reap abundantly even now.
"How is your month of prayer and fasting going?"
Today is day 13 of Ramadan, and it has been going great. Every night we gather at my apartment to worship the Lord and pray for the requests of the day (Ramadan prayer email list), as well as for Mali and the church plant.
HIGH SCHOOL
After a rather chaotic start, I now have my three classes – one on Monday, one on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday. Two of them are classes I had last year, and I'm glad to have my students back and be with them again. They have a way of stealing themselves into your heart ;-)… well, some of them. It's great to continue building relationships with them; several have started borrowing Christian books from me, even Muslims! Simon-Pierre is still my student (he's on the video), and I see God mightily at work in him. I will be inviting my students to come to my house and watch an Austrian movie with me – on several occasions since I have about 120 students.
CAR
Moving into The House doubles the distance I live from school – not much fun walking in the hot afternoon sun. We're still praying and believing for a car – Toyota double-cabin pick-up. Pray that the Lord would bring the car He has prepared. Once we've got the car, we can also start going into the villages – something that's very much on my heart (and Emma's). Once we've got the car, we can start the process of starting an NGO, which will hopefully be completed by next summer.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. (Ps 34:7-9)
Yeah! Amen!
In my Beloved's service,
Claudia
P.S. After some consideration, I have decided to publish the two public prophetic words I received this summer concerning what the Lord was gonna do with me (in Mali) on the ENDORSEMENT page on my website. It well summarizes what my heart has been all along, and is an encouragement to see what the Lord is up to. So be it!
